it's not enough just to get your sig radius low enough, you want it even lower so it counters their velocity which is always going to be higher than your explosion velocity on a missile. That said, a lot of people DO use furies.

Wouldn't you want at least 2 painters for a torp CNR? I think that's why the golem is primarly the torp boat, it has both the slots to fit painters and TWO torp boosting bonuses. CNR can work but I think the tank gets dangerously low.
